(Part 8C Relief) (Amendment)
Regulations 2023

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 39P of the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) Act 2020, the Minister for National Development makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1.—(1) These Regulations are the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Part 8C Relief) (Amendment) Regulations 2023 and, except for regulation 3, come into operation on 1 April 2023.

(2) Regulation 3 is deemed to have come into operation on 31 December 2021.

Amendment of regulation 18

2. In the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Part 8C Relief) Regulations 2021 (G.N. No. S 497/2021), in regulation 18(2)(c), replace “Singapore Accountancy Commission Act 2013” with “Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority Act 2004”.

Miscellaneous amendments

3. In the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Part 8C Relief) Regulations 2021 —

(a)

in regulation 8(2)(b), replace “(Cap. 29)” with “1989”;

(b)

in the following provisions, after “Building Control Act”, insert “1989”:

(c)

in regulation 11(b), replace “(Cap. 10)” with “2001”;

(d)

(f)

in regulation 13(3), replace “(Cap. 129)” with “1959”;

(g)

(h)

in regulation 18(2)(b), replace “(Cap. 2)” with “2004”;

(i)

in regulation 18(2)(c), replace “(Cap. 294B)” with “2013”;

(j)

in regulation 23(4), in the definitions of “company”, “corporation”, “foreign company” and “substantial shareholder”, after “Companies Act”, insert “1967”;

(k)

in regulation 23(4), in the definition of “limited liability partnership”, replace “(Cap. 163A)” with “2005”;

(l)

in regulation 23(4), in the definition of “partnership”, in paragraph (a), replace “(Cap. 391)” with “1890”;

(m)

in regulation 23(4), in the definition of “partnership”, in paragraph (b), replace “(Cap. 163B)” with “2008”; and

(n)

in regulation 34(3), replace “(Cap. 1)” with “1965”.
